Last week, BuzzFeed sent another shockwave through media circles by disclosing that the company may not have enough liquidity to continue operating over the next year, raising speculation that what was once one of digital media’s crown jewels could be heading toward bankruptcy. “There is substantial doubt about the Company’s ability to continue as a going concern,” BuzzFeed wrote in its Q4 earnings report.

Rebecca’s New Roster: MS NOW announced a sweeping lineup overhaul Wednesday, as Status first reported was in the works, from president Rebecca Kutler, reshuffling anchors across virtually every daypart. As part of the changes, Ali Velshi will take over “The 11th Hour,” Stephanie Ruhle will move to a new 9–11 a.m. block, and “Morning Joe” will shrink back to three hours. Meanwhile, as Status first reported, Alicia Menendez will be elevated to her own midday program, and Luke Russert will join “The Weeknight.” Elsewhere, Jacob Soboroff will take over Velshi’s weekend slot, as Chris Jansing moves from her anchor role into chief political reporter ahead of the midterms. Ana Cabrera also announced her exit from the network shortly after the lineup changes were announced. “As part of these programming changes, team members will have the opportunity to shift into new roles to support new priorities,” Kutler wrote in a memo. “Overall, we expect to have more people working at MS NOW by the end of 2026 than we do today.”
